After care
Proper aftercare is essential to maintaining the quality, longevity, and appearance of your hair extensions. By following these aftercare steps, your hair extensions will stay soft, healthy, and long-lasting, ensuring a flawless, natural look.
Washing & Conditioning
Wait 48 hours before washing after application to allow bonds or tapes to set.
Use a sulfate-free, alcohol-free shampoo & conditioner to prevent dryness and bond slippage.
Wash hair in a gentle downward motion, avoiding rough scrubbing at the roots.
Apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, avoiding the bonds, tapes, or rings.
Brushing & Styling
Use a soft-bristle or loop brush to detangle, starting from the ends and working up.
Hold the roots while brushing to avoid tension on the extensions.
Limit heat styling and always use a heat protectant when using hot tools.
Avoid oils, serums, or heavy styling products near the bonds, tapes, or rings.
Sleeping & Daily Care
Tie hair in a loose braid or ponytail before sleeping to prevent tangling.
Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and keep hair smooth.
Avoid excessive moisture (e.g., saunas, steam rooms, swimming) as it can weaken adhesives and bonds.
Maintenance & Reapplication
Schedule a maintenance appointment every 6-8 weeks to reposition tapes or 12 weeks to replace bonds extensions.
For tape-in and keratin bonds, avoid pulling or twisting the extensions.
Never remove extensions yourselfβalways seek professional removal to prevent damage.
